Spring 2011 - Istanbul

These are my final photos from Istanbul. Well, not quite, I have a whole other series coming but those have a different focus. 

The first photo was taken while crossing the main bridge over the Golden Horn - you can see Asia in the back of the shot. The second one, at the spice market, though this was a tea store with amazing tea. Those red flowers you're seeing on the left of the screen, those are pomegranate flowers, yum! And finally, a sunset taken on a cool, crisp evening.

What to Drink

Spring 2011 - Istanbul

Turkish Coffee - Served in tiny cups, unfilterd, and usually with some sugar. 

Turkish Apple Tea - Sweet, but not too sweet, add sugar if needed. Fell a bit in love with the apple tea, I have to say!

Lunch - Beef stir fry with courgette, baby corn, onions, and mushrooms.

I hadn't slept super well and was feeling a bit sleepy around 4ish, knowing I had a phone meeting at 5:30pm that I wanted to be awake for. 

I don't know if I've ever gotten a coffee frappuchino before, but I definitely will again! 

Perfect sleepyness and happieness cure :)

A pair of earring I was wearing - From a small one off store in Syracusa, Sicily. 

I love how they're white but glow different colours.

Dinner - lettuce, pan fried mushrooms, and fried tofu sandwich with tiger bread toast an mayonnaise.

Knitting & Turkey Burgers

Breakfast - Crumpets and a pear with green tea.

When my internet wasn't working I was watching a lot of movies, 

so I decided to buy some yarn so I didn't feel like I was wasting my time completely. 

Not very summer-y... But hey. Isn't the yarn pretty though?

Dinner - Turkey and Feta Cheese burgers (idea from my friend Lauren) on something called Tiger Bread with Indian something sauce on them. 

Made with my other friend Sarah...they were awesome :) 

A Day in the Life

As usual, as the summer comes up, I have more free time
(i.e. I have exams which I am not studying for...yet)

So I've had enough free times to take pictures of things like this

Breakfast - Strawberry Pop Tarts and black tea

 I recently painted my nails this lovely colour blue,

And proceeded to go out and buy two more colours cause I liked it so much!

Lunch - Stir fry involving Okra, Baby Corn, Mushrooms, Onions, and Shrimp

Then I went shopping in search of black tights...

So now I have three pairs!
